my CPU is redundant but I/O moduls are not redundant . . . my problem is if CPU 414-4 H is master no any problem in redundant but when CPU 414-4 H(1) is master , BUS2F LED and and REDF make on and redundant is lost and CPU are Stoped .... i think PROFIBUS(2) is not OK ... plz help me for this problem ... Splitted from CPU 414 & ET200M. |

I connect both DP port of two PLC by two profibus cable ( completely seperate and every four connector is on position ) to one DP port of ET200M ... My Project zip file is attached , plz help me for this problem ... if u could , clear HardWare problem in my zip project and resend to me ... i have no time , i must do this project in weekend and that is very important for me ... thanks my friends

Hello fk; The standard way of connecting I/Os to a redundant S7-H system is to use a redundant bus, with redundant ET 200M and bus modules connecting the I/O modules. This is what you are trying to do (by connecting all your Profibus cables to a single-ended ET 200M unit) and your configuration is not acceptable by Simatic manager. However, it is not the only way you can connect I/Os to a redundant S7-H system. Have a look at chapter 10 from thie following manual: SIMATIC Fault-tolerant Systems S7-400H manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1186523 Without purchasing more hardware (a secondIM 153-2, bus modules and a special rack for the bus modules), you can only configure your I/Os as single-channel, one-sided I/Os, as explained in section 10.3. The I/Os will only be attached and configured to a single CPU.As long as the CPU that is active (only one is active at any time) is reading and writing to your I/Os, the standby CPU will be updated with the collected values of the I/Os. This will work, but...: When there is a switchover (for any reason), the newly active master CPU will no longer read the I/Os (they are connected to the other CPU, inactive) and none of the CPUs will update the values from the field. You will risk losing the efficiency of the redundant CPUs with this setup. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Redundant system work very good ... when i add two CP cards in every subsystem the CPU 414-4 H (Master ) iluminate EXTF & REDF and not permit PLC run and CP card BUSF goes red and iluminate RUN light green .... CPU 414-4 H(1) the same as master PLC ( EXTF & REDF get red on ) and CP card INTF light red and be STOP mode ... i dont know why ? plz help me ...... I send my Project zip in atachment
