It's verry easy, if you use HSC0 i.e. you can read/ comparethe countervalue in Integer by just using the name hsc0 as input. Have no acces to my progams here, but can give some examples next day. Oops, my mistake the operand must be HC1 not HSC1 Attached an example, it's in dutch sorry, but have a look at sbr13 there i use things like compare with hsc. I used a window (venster) where some bits are triggered (between i.e. 500 pulses - or + countvalue. If you need more help to read the program i can put some comments with it later.
