HI_FI Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am new with PLC S7-1200 and I have to move an axis in different absolut positionsby a stepper motor. I have already made all the connection PLC >> DRIVE >> STEPPER MOTOR and all the configuration without any problems butI cannot made the "active home". The motor starts with the function MC_Home but doesn't stop when it approach withthe sensor!! Could please help me or sent me an program example? Thanks. Attachment Program.JPG (968 Downloads)

HI_FI Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Yes this file are very helpfull, but the problem is that even with the check box all greenwhen the reference point switch is activated, the motor doesn't stop!! I don't understand why, maybe there is an hardware problem... Thanks anyway

If yes please insert there mc_move_absolute function and set on example position 200 points, this function must be execute when mc_home is done. Then insert mc_halt and then during the move when the sensor is active must execute this function. I can send you example but not now because I am now at work, maybe tonight. Regard Przemos169

HI_FI Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, I inserted the MC_MOVE_ABSOLUTE function but the problem il always the same: the motor doesn't performtha ACTIVE_HOME, in other words the motor start (when the active_home function is activated) but when the flag approaches the sensor (RPS),the motor doesn'tslow down(it should follow the path of the axis configuration as shown in the attached file, without MC_HALT!). Przemos169 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, Sorry but I can't upload program because pup up error, i attached screen this program. I tested this program and he work properly. How he work? When the I0.4(start) change from 0 to 1 then axis is active, then MC_Home is execute. If the point switch(your sensor) is detected the motor are reduced the speed and change the direction, if the point switch is detected one more time, the motor change direction again, and finally if the point switch is detected third time, he should be stopped. We have had a similar situation and found out that the switch needed to be normally closed instead of normally open to operate correctly. It apparantly depends upon which direction you are moving as to whether you need a NO or NC switch. We haven't figured out why yet.
