DearTIBI68, Thanks for the response. Yes, I got your point. As you mentioned, its better to have a redundant main power source with both CPU power supply. Usually with our scheme, we suggest the client for us to provide the redundant power source. Though it varies from client to client, if they are able to provide us the Redundant power source or not. I do agree that having redundant power source is a better option than redundant CPU power supplies. though in most cases we have redundant power source and redundant CPU power supplies. In case of AB there is a redundant power supply bundle comes as a single part number. Though, I am not sure about if redundant PS bundle is available in Siemens, as I have not used it so far. |
