Can you tell me what way i can replace new battery and dont damage system? should i stop or Run PLC?

Before you change a buffer battery you have to depassivate it. Proceed as follows: 1. Set the switch Batt Indic to Off. 2. Remove the old battery/ batteries. 3. Depassivate the new battery/ batteries by short circuiting the poles for 1 to 3 seconds. 4. Insert the new battery/ batteries. 5. Set the switch Batt Indic to 1 Batt or 2 Batt. If you remove power to the power supply and the battery support to the RAM of the CPU, you will lose everything in RAM (and therefore the whole program). One option is to use the EXT. Battery jack input of the CPU connected to a 9V battery, this is sufficent to support RAM backup when the power supply is down and batteries are removed. See the attached document, taken form the S7-400 hardware manual. You could also think of using a flash EPROM memory module instead of a RAM card, but this requires more manipulation to write the program to memory (you must use the Copy RAM to ROM function of the CPU).
