Do you use DI or TM? I think that in both cases you can use gate control to stop counting. I am not familiar with S7-1500, but it works with S7-1200.

Hello,

For S7 1500, you can use OB 121 for programming error, but you may need to set global error handling first

 As I can remember you can find the setting in the properties of blocks

Properties -> Attributes -> Handle errors within block.

I am using the TM. Now I can get what I expect, I set the count value to 0 when it was less than 0. That's done. Now it works.
