Lost SYMBOL and COMMENT

Pham_Vu_Hoang Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I created aproject in Step 7 - Micro/WIN and defined symbol and comment for every addresses in my project. I downloaded the project to my S7 200 - CPU 224. The project run normally on the PLC. Later, I uploaded the project from PLC to my PC, the project was unchanged but all the symbols and comments disappeared only addresses left. It seem like the PLC COULD NOT store symbol and comment ? How to force the PLC store these things? Thanks in advance!

They will not be loaded into the PLC. Also have you selected POU comments and Symbols "ON" ( visible ??? ) P.S : I hope you have a Backup of your original Project with all Coments and Symbols.

So you have to store the original program on your PC/PG. I have seen this problem once from several years. There were somebody has many versions of the application program of his machine. And no body knows which is the last one and which is operative and we should use the correct one to modify something in the program and then download it again. I not the programmer of this station. So, I have uploaded the program from the PLC, and then I copied the symbol table from one of those versions of the applicqation software, and then I could have the program on the CPU with symbols. Normally I assumed that the programmer did nnot make a huge changes in the symbol table between those many versions. Let me tell you that that programmer make 36 versions of the application software in just three days!!! He always make (save as) if he change a small thing.
