I want to replace S7-417-4 H CPU by S7417-4X CPU but I cannot!

When I press replace on S7-417-4H CPU the required CPU is not in the selection list.

My question is: Have one way to replace this CPU without deleting?

Hello,

These belong to two separate CPU families, one is a Regular CPU the other one a Redundant Fail Safe one.

Are you sure you have the correct CPU for replacement ???

If you are trying to down grade from an H System to a Regular System, because your application does not require a H system you should develop a new HW configuration with the correct CPU.

Hi Sena95,

While initiating HW configuration, station type needs to be specified. U insert H station for H CPU & 400 station for standard CPU. Replace function will not be possible for your case.

However, u can copy program blocks to new hardware configuration. Communication functions with redundant connections and/or CPU diagnostics etc will not work.
