PPI interface module

ahmedmae94 Posts: 103 Rating: (11)	how are you I have project to upgrade from S5 to S7 , S5 system operate with scada system there is interface module to make connection between PLC & PC (SCADA) but I'm not quite sure from the protocol of this module I think this module operate with PPI protocol so, I want interface module in S7-400 that I can get PPI protocol from it in the picture attached I found interface module in HW configuration and I nominated it to be used, but I'm not quite from this module please take alook on this picture and advise me if I should use module or not. thank you Attachment PPI.zip (292 Downloads)

The S7-300 and S7-400 use MPI (multi point interface). S5 can not use PPI or MPI. it should be another protocol to communicate with Scada. Something like RK512 or 3964 R protocol. Please try to find out which protocol is used. Or perhaps you can make a choice of new protocol to communicate between S7 and Scada Best regards, Wizard
