Configuring redundand DP and Y-link

nar Posts: 14 Rating: (1)	hi chris I saw ur attached hardware configuration jpg before that i want to share with u one thing, Y link is used to communicate with slave devices which are not redundant capabality.In ur case you are using ET200M which is having redundant capability and try to Keep ET200S it will accept.So it is not possible to insert ET200M on Your Profibus-4 and Y-link is also having limitation of data exchange it can exchange only 230bytes. Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	1) Exchnage limit is 244 bytes for inputs+ 244 for outputs 2) You can integrate ET200M via GSD file (downloadable from this site) 3) Specify ET200M's order number - maybe it can be done in more suitable way

It comes from separate GSD file that support connecting to Y-link. Pay attention to order number - it must be exact like it said in GSD. In other way you will not be able to use it on Y-link.
