Technology Object Control of Simovert Masterdrive

Tech_Rio Regular Member Joined: 4/16/2021 Last visit: 9/17/2024 Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	I would like to request some help with my S7-1500 Motion Control and mapping that with my AC Master Drives. May you kindly help me with how I can just use my Technology Object to control an AC Simovert Master Drive. I am sure I do not have to be directly sending the Control Words etc if I have my technology Object handling that. May you kindly help me with how I can do that. I have a S7-1515T-2PN that has the CP1542-5 Profibus Communication Module, A TM-PosInput-2 to connect my external encoder and a AQ 4xU/I ST analogue module to send my analogue voltage to the drive. I have been able to control a lot of other drives like the Kollmorgen Drives etc with ease as I would only focus on my Motion Control and the TO would handle the drive. However, that is not the same with my Masterdrives and I would like some help to how I can map my TO to the Masterdrives with out programming the Drive State-machine. I am hoping that my TO would be able to handle that good for me. May you kindly help me please or any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I went through it all and it stipulates the Profidrive connection to the Drive from the PLC. I wanted to ask more on using the Analogue data exchange between my PLC and my Simovert Master drive. In addition to that, How I map the control words to the drive from my PLC to my Technology Object control on the PLC. I just want to focus on the TO in my PLC and let the TO deal with the drive but when I am using the Analogue data exchange. Kindly advise please. I already have my GSD files installed and I am using PPO5 Telegram. I would like help on how I can have my Technology Object handle the control words and give the analogue drive control. Thank you
