Tips and sample program for MODBUS TCP

normally, when you comunicate a S7-1200 with a SCADA system, the S-1200 plays the rule of "MODBUS Server" and the SCADA plays the rule of "MODBUS Client".

In this context I suggest you use Modbus server instruction and set the ative partner for connection stabelishimet as SCACA.

Here there are a V15 version of a demonstration program and casts showing about how it was created. The project uses S7-1500 (but the configuration is similar to S7-1200). The use of S7-1500 has the advantage to be simulated in PLCSIM Advanced.

The s7-1500 manual ( https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/de/view/86140384 ) section 11.1 (around page 228) talks about maximum available connection resources.

Hi everyone,

I made some tests using the examples provided by Mr,Pegaia, and works perfect. Now my Project uses around 45 nodes, that does not need to be read at the same time. My idea is to use logic to open, read and close each connection. But, to avoid problems, i want to know which cpu i need to use. my idea is a 1511 or something like that

Also, where can i find the information about the number of connections using modbus tcp protocol. l checked the technical data, but I do not founded this information ...
