In that Cpu Having only one port for communication . so i have used that port in hmi communication . So i want to go for communication expansion module . So kindly tel me which one i go for that rs-485 communication . And what is the order number. Kindly support this .. Thanks in Advance, Arasan.

You need also be carefully, what protocol use that flow meter? This is also important because in some cases you can't be lucky to create communication with device.

CPUs like the CPU224XP and CPU226 has two ports. Each of these can be configured differently. Other CPUs do not offer this. The method used was to configure the port in two modes. The program selected the configuration according to the STOP-TERM-RUN switch. SM0.7 = false: switch to TERM. SM0.7 = true: switch to RUN. The PLC in run and switch to RUN: Modbus RTU. The PLC in run and switch to TERM: PPI. Two protocols are not active at the same time, but it is selectable. The same idea can work from the built-in potentiometer or any other input. BR

Arasan isn't available on Forum, he discontinued his account. If you ask if there is available some serial expand module for Freeport communication, answer is - NO. Some solution is on my 2-nd post on this Topic. If you want other help, maybe you can describe what solution you want find (better describe) and then we can give help.
