How to choose the right PLC based on my program size

Example: I choose the CPU 1513-1 PN to start my project, and here it goes the code begins to be developed and then I realize that the CPU I pick is overrated or underrated. Where could I figure out that It would be better if I replace it with a CPU 1511, 1515 or even change to a ET200SP CPU? I'm checking on Overview -> Program Info and it's showing some numbers that I would like to interpret better. (see attached) Thanks in advance. Attachment Program_Info.jpg (1279 Downloads)

Hello gabrielf87 , wish you a nice day. you can check the article 59193101 you will the structure and use of Memory in S7-1500 PLCs in detail so you can understand more about it Also Check sec 3.2 in 109752842 , You will find the size of Work memory for every 15xx Model , in addition to that you will find more usefull information about the Perfomrance of the memory Hope That might help you Best regards,

To choose a controller system, you must first consider the structure and environment for which you plan to program, and in the next step, check the nature and structure of the logic and system that you plan to control, so that you can determine the nature and Know how to identify devices and machines well. Then find a list of inputs and outputs of the system and select the system according to the volume and number of inputs and outputs. In the end, these things that I said were very detailed and general, and you will not be able to choose the correct control system without knowing the process and components of the system. My suggestion to you is that the tia selection tools may help you find the system.
