Hi,

I need to some advice on how to use the in-built siemens structures for managing alarm history for my system.  I am using TIA portal v17 (Required to use this version for the project)

my system consists of:

master plc (MCP)(1513F-1 PN) in a central location with a HMI ( HMI MTP1900, Unified Comfort Panel).

many identical (all but addresses) mobile machines (AMR)(1510SP F-1 PN)

The AMRs all send their alarm status back to the MCP as an array of words (each bit representing an alarm on the AMR).  All the AMRs have the same alarm list.  On the MCP, I want to record the alarm history of each AMR (with minimal effort; ideally not making a unique alarm on the MCP for AMR's alarm array)

I know the HMI has a built in alarm logging function, but it appears to only be capable of defining one list of discrete alarms.  Is there a way to create one source object that defines the alarm array for a typical AMR and then create instances of it for each AMR?  (so if I make a change to the AMR alarm list, I only have to change it once?)

 Do you have a link to any documentation of how to implement this scheme?

I think you cannot do something like this because you have to define the descrete Alarms in the HMI configuration and every Alarm needs an own trigger tag and alarm properties and so on.

You could thinking about using Program_Alarm (PLC Alarms) with the HMI Panel. Then you do not habe to configure any alarms in the HMI. All comes from the PLC or even from all you PLCs (if they are not that many)
