Hello, I am trying to set up a commusnicaton between Bender iso415r 
and my PLC S7-1212FC G2 using the CB1241 (6ES7241-1CA50-0XB0). 
I have everything set-up correctly, like in this other post.
Of couse all my settings should be correct, I used them to read the registers with mbpoll.
 

When I run my Modbus_Comm_Load I get no error, only state 16#0000 And Done

Then when I try to read with Modbus_Master from address 1000 and length 1, I get the error 16#80C8.

So also according the mentioned post, There is an issue in the G2 or the CB 1241.
My PLC has the newest firmware 1.0.2 and my CB 1241 has frirmware version 1.0,
but I noticed a new firmware version was released just recently.
But how do I update the firmware of CB 1241 module? I cannot find any tool for it in my TIA v20, 
which is also updated to newest version.

Thank you for the reply. I thought the Automation tool was part of TIA portal. I will test it out and report back.

UPDATE: I intalled the Automation Tool, restarted and checked for updates again. Then I ran it, but it seem it does not recognize the S7-1200 G2 yet. 
Do I have to install drivers for it? Or is the PLC too “new”? It has been out for almost a whole year.

I don't know why it shrinks my larger images. but the second one works. It say that my S7-1200 G2 is unsupported or could not be initialized.
I will contact support.

I did manage to update CB1241, In the end, just in device view, right-click on the CB1241 comm module in the plc graphic and select “Online & diagnostics”.
The undef functions I used firmware update.

I was used to access “Online & diagnostics” from the project tree, but the CB1241 is not there so I did not know how to access it.

However, even after update, I get the same error code - 16#80C8 - “The slave does not respond within the set time”
