Connecting TD200C, S7-224 & PC at the same time.

FrankD Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi I am editting a S7-224 which is to be used with a TD200C. I have the USB/PPI cable to program the PLC and the cable from the TD200C to the PLC but it would be helpful to be able to connect the TD200C when I am monitoring the program status and see if the messages are displaying properly. It is a pain having to unplug and plug the different cables in all the time!! I am sure I have seen a simple set up using 9 pin D sockets but cannot find where I saw it. Does anybody have any more info? I have seen the article where it talks about using Profibus cables but don't understand how the two cables plug into one port. Regards FrankD

At least one should have a PG connection socket. Because there you will have to connect your PC/PPI cable in. Best regards, Wizard

Is this article saying I can connect the two cable to the same port on the PLC if I can get an adapter which allows it? Thanks FrankD

Plug the male plug into the PLC and plug the PPI cable and the TD200C cable into the two sockets or would it all blow up? Regards FrankD
