I have up than 60 I/O, and i'm using the ET 200S, looking on his I/O modules there is not more than 4 DI on one module.

So, i am asking, can i use the I/O modules of S7-300 which contain 16 or 32 DI with my ET 200S.

I know that there is no problem with ET 200M but is it the same for ET 200S?

Hello HH21;

You cannot use ET 200M modules within a ET 200SP station.

The hardware and electronics are too different between distributed I/O families.

For quick overview of different ET 200 families, examine the contents of this preentation document:

You can setup an ET 200M station as  Profibus or Profinet station controlled by an ET 200 CPU, for example.

you can reach the 60 io with et200s since it takes up to 63 modules
