I'm looking for information about the old TD200. A customer asked me to replace an display TD200 (FW3.0.2) p.n. 6ES7272-0AA30-0YA0. By searching on internet, I found a spare TD200 p.n. 6ES7272-0AA30-0YA1.

Can I replace the display, even if I don't have the S7-200 source software?

I suppose that the two displays have the same firmware (even if I was not able to establish it with certainty), but anyway the different article code, could cause some 'complication'?

Hello.

It is a drop-in replacement, there is no problem getting the device.

There is no 'user program' in the TD200. That program sits in the S7-200 PLC.

Some configuration in the TD200 [might] be needed. You can get these configurations from the old TD200, provided this unit is still operational. Chances are good that you do not need it as most machine builders leave the TD200 to its default settings.

The settings to look out for is documented in the attachment.
