What are the "Settings" needed to operate the "6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0" PC Adapter USB  with the S7-200 PLC?

You should able to find and access the PLC with the "PC.Adapter.PPI" adapter and works on all 3 baud rates (9k6, 19k2 and 187k5) on port 0/1. Be sure to scan them desperately on all 3 baud rates. 

The "PC.Adapter.MPI" adapter should work to and only works on 19k2 and 187k5 on port 0/1.

After installing the PC Adapter drivers on the computer. In the set PC/ PG settings, press the select key and in the new window, add the PC Adapter USB 2, then select it in the set PC/ PG

The adapters in the attachment should be listed and is working with the 6ES7972-0CB20-0XA0 PC ADAPTER USB  with interface "PC adapter"

The "PC/PPI cable PPI" is used for the (multiMaster) PPI adapter (6ES7901-3DB30  / 3CB30 / 3BF21 / ect.)

What OS are you using.
What MicroWin version.
What is the exact part number of your adapter you're using.
Is the adapter detected by windows and is the USB lite up at the adapter

You mention using the PC ADAPTER USB, but trying to install the PC ADAPTER USB A2?

The operating system is windows 7.
The Step7/MicroWin version is SP9.

Hi,

Check to following:

*Any other software (Step7/TIA) installed beside MicroWin? (To see driver is installed)
*Adapter recognized in windows? (start -> run -> devmgmt.msc)
*Are you able to add/remove the PC adapter in the PC/PG interface screen?

The drivers (including PC adapter driver v1) will be installed with the MicroWin v4 SP9 installation.
You can try reinstall MicroWin or alternatively install the pc adapter driver (PC adapter driver v2)

Dear friend,

I am frankly considering installing the Step7 manager V5.5 since it contains the PC adapter driver, also because the adapter driver alone won't be installed on windows7.
I will try this solution and feedback you as soon as possible.
