I am able to link use NI with a pushbutton on the HMI to set a NQ on the Logo (for testing purposes) but I cannot get the NQ to trigger the global screen with an alarm view window and display a discrete error message. I have read through many threads on here and have tried using one of the examples of assigning the NQ a V10.0 in Logo software, and using the tag VW10 in TIA to trigger the alarm window with my trigger bit being 8 (to be honest I have tried many combinations and with no success). I am hoping that there is something simple that I am overlooking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Used software: WinCC TIA V16 LSC V8.3.0 The ZIP file of the project is too large for attaching. So I load it up to my cloud. [snip] AttachmentSiemens Support Help.zip (121 Downloads) |

Maybe this application example can help you: Configuration of Messages and Alarms in WinCC (TIA Portal) |

The provided link describes using TIA and S7 connection with the WINCC Professional software, I am using WinCC Advanced. In the document in the link it says that the trigger tag needs to come from a "Use the data types “Bool”, “USInt” or “UDInt” for the trigger tags." But in the advanced software it will not allow use of those data types and is requesting the use of a Word type trigger. I have tried to use VW10 as the HMI alarm tag and then when creating the discrete alarm using the trigger bit that coincides with NQ in the Logo program. This has been unsuccesful in trigger the global screen to open/having the alarm window to show the error. Using the same addressing method between the HMI and Logo, I can make the NI work to set bits in the Logo program. |
