Can a LOGO use MQTT direct to a PI? I thought at present the only option was AWS. Cost wise we find AWS prohibitively expensive and how they charge extremely difficult to understand. At present to view two Logos with about 50 values (digital and analog) with the settings configured as on change of value we are getting bills of ~£10 (UK) per month even after purchasing an E2C instance. We get hammered on IoT messages and whatever AWS dream that I’ve used. So for us we did a project where we were asked to supply remote visibility for one year and after this I think we will leave this platform as it is too expensive. Our old Ewon Cosy method was much cheaper. If Siemens want this to be a useable feature (cloud) then they need to give some guidance on costs, example AWS packages etc. Also some tools so that the number of MQTT messages can be monitored to try to reduce costs. This platform has a lot of potential and Hope usage costs etc can come down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

No, LOGO! can't connect directly to MQTT. But you can use e.g. Node Red or IOBroker as a gateway. |
