You can locate all modules and PLCs currently available from Siemens.

I find it much faster and more accurate than these forums - although I would not say it is perfect because it seems to be regionally aware and in certain cases refuses to allow entry.  That's when you can download the tool for use on your PC.

Hi guys,

is there a 1200 cpu with safety integrated? if I use a 6ES7215-1AF40-0XB0 cpu can I connect the ET200SP in the profinet ... and on these ET200SP can I use I / O modules and analog modules?

Search this support site for the TIA Selection Tool (be sure and logout of the Industry Mall in case you are logged in).  If it fails to work, report the error to the Siemens web site administrator so it can be corrected.

As for retentive area, that is fixed by the PLC type.

If you have an HMI, you can put a lot of data on the HMI in a recipe.  If you only have one set of parameters, a single recipe is all you need.  Then you can add quite a bit of retentive data to your project in that way.  However, it is more involved to cause it to be retained and to recover it.

What type of data is required for retention?

In my experience, most data is dependent on a small subset of retained data, like, calculated or based on other data.  Once you find the smallest subset of data from which everything else can be generated, you can put logic in OB100 to calculate the larger set of data before starting the PLC.

If you simply need to log data, use the datalog instructions to create and write data logs.

Or, you can use the File writing and reading instructions available in the more recent PLC firmware.

in the cpu 6ES7 215-1AF40-0XB0 there are only 14 Kb of retentive area ... is it possible to increase this area using the SD of the loading memory?

I also tryed go to your link but blinks constantly and won't let me in (see attachment)
