some questions about iiot

I'm trying to learn about iiot technology and i wonder if there is some software i can use 

to link my project to a cloud,

I don't have a real PLC. I'm using TIA portal v15 with the help of the simulator

  i found this topic too, but in the documentation they are using a physical hardware

what is need is, can i connect tia portal to a cloud without the need of any physical hardware

To communicate to  "outside" of the system you would need PLC Sim advanced.

with common PLCSIm you can only communicate internally the PGPC interface/System.

So I would say, real HW or PLCSimAdv.
