WinCC Unified and automatic HMI Connection fail-over

DRDR Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, Has anyone tried achieving automatic HMI Connection fail-over between WinCC Unified and s7-400H system (redundant CPU's\CP's)? It does not have to be bumpless, so I assume it can be done in Java scripting like it is possible in traditional WinCC VB scripting. Has anyone had a go with WinCC Unified or can refer to documentation\article? Regards, Dan

mmckay Posts: 247 Rating: (65)	I have not tried this, but it looks like the HMIRuntime.Connections.SysFct.ChangeConnection() method should allow you to switch between the IP address of the primary and secondary CPU's in a script. It allows for the IP address, rack, and slot to be changes (IP address only for S7-1200/1500).
