Dear all,

I had this strange error (Memory card not accepted or cannot be mounted ) with the CPU 1512sp 1-pn memory during the download of the plc program , i m using 4mb memory card for the program and the same card is using on the other CPU 1512sp 1-pn with out error. Did someone get this strange error? Thanks .

Is it by any chance a SIMATIC HMI Card?

It's not the SIMATIC HMI Card? it 's the SIMATIC PLC Card and with this one we have downloaded plc program in the other cpu 1512 1-Pn .

The MLFB of the inserted Memory Card is 6ES7954-8LC02-0AA0. (4 Mbyte)

This one can be used on an other cpu 1512  without problem.

Maybe the problem comes from the my old CPU 1512. Maybe the my old cpu 1512 is faulty?

as the same SMC works with another CPU without any issues, it is indeed possible that the SMC reader in the CPU is defective.

But you can check several things:

• Does the CPU accept another SMC or is this the same result?
• You can manually delete the project files (file "S7_JOB.SYS", folder "SIMATIC.S7S") from the SMC with a standard cardreader (no format!). Check if the SMC is accepted afterwards.
• Update the firmware of the CPU to the latest version available.

• Update the firmware of the CPU to the latest version available. Yes i did it , i have try to update to the last firmware but i have the same result.

I believe that the checks/results detailed in your last post are enough to determine that the SMC slot of this CPU is damaged.

Therefore, I would recommend you send the CPU to the Repair Service of your region.

as it is the same result with any other SMC, too.... most likely the SMC reader in the cpu is defective.

There is not really a method to check this, besides the use of another SMC, which you already did.

You can send the CPU to the Siemens repair center to be checked.
