Can PLCSim communicate with real unified panel?

This could be used for testing when PLC is not around.

I'm afraid that only S7-PLCSIM Advanced simulation instances can use TCP/IP communication modes for connection to physical communication networks (real hardware) via network cards.

With standard Plcsim you can do this with an additional program, called Nettoplcsim (Free/Open Source, download from Sourceforge).

As it's not from Siemens, you need to start the simulation in this order to get it running:

1. Restart you PG, before you start any Siemens application, start Nettoplcsim, let it capture the port 102 from the Siemens service, and let Nettoplcsim in this state open

2. Start Step7 or TIA Portal, start Plcsim, download the program to Plcsim

3. Configure Nettoplcsim, and start the Nettoplcsim server

 With PLCSIM Advanced you don't need any additional programs. I haven't used it, but I think it should work. But you need to buy a license for Plcsim Advanced. And as far as I know, it only supports S7-1200/1500 and not S7-300/400 if you want to test this controllers too.
