I mainly work with robots but have been assigned a task to add a signal from 840D NC-program to a robot (Pre-ready signal). The signal has now been added by using FC21 (PLC), tested in MDA-window with $A_DBB[1010] = 1. Value is copied to a M-bit area with signals to robot via profibus. Works as expected. The question/problem is to have a simple way to use it in the milling program/process. Preferably as M-code. I tried to follow this guide SIEMENS 840D - Creating Custom M-Codes (linkedin.com) ..but there is no UMAC file in the system. Can it be created (in powerline system)? As a additional question in same topic: Is there some other way to control a PLC/output-signal from NC/M-code? Edit: tried to make the question more clear. Kind regards, Toni |
