BAF fault on the S7-400 PS after power restoration

marius75 Member Joined: 10/11/2016 Last visit: 7/25/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dears, Good day, we had a long power shutdown in the plant, after the power was restored we faced BAF fault on the power supply and program lost on the cpu, since there was no Efrom installed in the cpu. BAF on power supply is reset by FMR, the back up battery was replaced a year ago. What can be the reason of the BAF fault that got activated during control voltage restoration. "It comes on when the battery voltage on the rear bus is too low and the BATT.INDIC. switch is in BATT" It is always advisable to do annual maintenance to change the backup battery. You must also take into account how long the battery has been supporting the program as this will reduce its capacity.
