Issues installing Tia Potal V17 because of WinCC V7.5

I am facing the same problem I had Tia Portal V18 I uninstalled it and then I installed Wincc V7.5 but when I tried to install Tia Potal V17 it didn't install instead the following error came : Product is incompatible with an already installed product from a different SIMATIC product series: all versions of WinCC V6.x/V7.x Please remove the "WinCC" instance of the SQL Server because it still exists in an incompatible version for TIA Portal V17 WinCC Prof Ed after a de-installation of "WinCC Professional" or "WinCC Runtime Professional". Hazard_7 Advanced Member Joined: 5/30/2022 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 593 Rating: (97)	Hi AutoGen_2226495, WinCC V7.x and WinCC Professional cannot coexist on the same PC because of database conflicts, hence the failure. To avoid problems, I would recommend that you start with a zero installation of your PC and install WinCC Professional. Although this FAQ is about Professional, it is also valid to remove the SQL instance of WinCC V7.x: Upgrading WinCC Professional & SQL Server

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 14127 Rating: (1769)	Hello AutoGen_2226495 With V17 there are two different Installation DVDs: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109784440 One with WinCC Professinal and one with Unified. If you have already installed a WinCC Professional or WinCC V7/8 on your System then you can only work with the WinCCUnified installation medium. Here you should be able to install WinCC Comfort/Advanced parallel to your WinCC V7. But not WinCC Prof or Unified this is not released on the same system. Bye Murof
