Logo 8.4 node-red VM parameter

SBtrendy Member Joined: 2/15/2021 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone-. I have a logo 8.3 program on a logo 8.3 controller working perfectly fine with S7 to node-red. However, when i take the same pogram file, open with logo 8.4 and transfer to a new logo 8.4 it seems like the VM parameter mapping is not working / imported correctly. Node red nodes just keeps flashing online/offline. Anybody have an idea what is wrong ?

FredrikS7 Member Joined: 2/6/2022 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 50 Rating: (4)	I do not have any LOGO 8.4 (Hardware), I do have LOGO 8.3.0.2 firmware. I guessing that your Node-Red implementation use Snap7. LOGO 8.4 is a new hardware with different configuration. It could be as simple that you couldn't use LOGO 8.4 hardware with the implementation in Node-Red. Thats why you have the option to select hardware in LSC. This way you could pick a hardware that Node-Red do support. I do know that Snap7 use 2 different LOGO hardware and that is the thinking I get when I read your issue. If we invent new hardware we also get new bootloader. I believe that is the case when we select hardware in LSC we get older bootloader when when we download the project to the hardware. I only guessing here.

ixo65 Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 11/16/2024 Posts: 34228 Rating: (4262)	The LOGO! 8.4 with firmware V1.84.01 or V1.84.02 has many problem by communication. If you have this firmware then update the firmware to the current version V1.84.03. This solved many problems. You can Download the update from here: Firmware update for LOGO! 8.4 basic devices and service pack 1 for LOGO! Soft Comfort V8.4
