I have a WinCC Pro. Scada project and i need to had value from a CPU on a screen.

The connection between the Scada project and the CPU is not OK.

My question is how to had a CPU into a Scada project to be able to read/write data.

Yes you can access a S7 PLC from aHMI without loading the PLC again, but in this case you would have to switch off some kind of security settings (newer S7-1200/1500 FW Versions) and use special configuration.

Which TIA portal Version do you use?

Is the PLC and the HMI in the same Project?

Which PLC do you use? (with FW Version)

Does the PLC use non optimized DBs?

-Some of my project come from company that use to work with TIA V15.1, V15.

-I made TIA Portal Server in TIA V16.

-The SCADA project is in TIA V18.

-I have all kind of PLC in my industry.

But the real think that bore me is if we/the company need to change hardware configuration on a PLC in a V16, V15.1, V15 project, will i loose the connection i made in the V18 project ?

The connection with other PLC is made by upgrading V16 prjects to V18.

I do that to place the PLC with the SCADA in the same program to be able to make HMI connection.

Is it possible to make an other connection that don't need to configure the PLC. Like a PUT/GET communication ?

you can do a connection from the WinCC Professional Project to any S7 PLC also if they are not in the same project.

One way could be that you export device proxy data from the PLC projects and import them as Proxy PLC in the HMI Project (it is OK if the TIA Version of the Device Proxys is older or equal than the HMI project, but could not be a newer Version) Then you can use an integrated symbolic HMI Connection as usual.

Second way is, if the PLC is in another project and you cannot use Proxy data. If you have a S7300/400 its no problem, if you have a S71200/1500 you cannot use optimized DBs for HMI communication and also you have to activate the Put/Get communication in security settings of the PLC. Then you can just create a manual connection in the HMI Project and use abslute addressing. The disadvantage is you cannot pick tags from DBs, you have to create HMI tags manually and use abolute addresses. And if there are changes in PLC the Changes are not synchronized to HMI.

But this kind of communication is always possible if the settings in PLC is set (or if you have S7300/400). and you would not have to load anything in the PLC regarding the HMI connection.
