WIPOTEC Load cell communication with S7 -300 PLC

for first, you show not complete screenshot from sheet, hard to read that options (hiden?), Next my opinion, CAN 422, ok but I can imagine more CAN types so what exactly CAN it is? In case of you'll have correct CAN protocol specification, you need look only for suitable fieldbus (your S7-300 existed now) to your CAN type Gateway. S7-300 hasn't nativelly CAN bus. As I said, your CPU now has maybe Profibus port or PN port (you didn't specify this and it is important) so check web for any suitable CAN Gateway.

First, this image is not from a data sheet file, but from a parts catalog file. There is no more information, just this image and a dimension drawing in the AutoCAD program.

Second, if I change my control device to type S7- 1200 and it has a communication device, let's say CM 1241, is it possible to send and receive data for 4 weight cells on the same communication device without data distortion?

let we stay at the problematic - CAN bus. If this protocol is that one available at the interface used then it is very hard to implement own CAN driver, believe me. Nothing against your taste of programming, you can study CAN bus but again you need know exactly format type of CAN used at your Wipotec device. I think anyway that you can't be lucky here, very sry, with CM1241. You can simply check CAN problematic anywhere on web to stay at the problematic. Therefore I recommended to you better take a some Gateway which transforms your expected now available interfaces like PN or PB to required CAN type. Very sry, till this time I don't know your experience but sry, from your description is clear to me that you will have very hard battle to do this by yourself. Again, first important thing is to be sure about available interfaces on Wipotec and protocol used there. It is maybe possible that on second interface is some Modbus available (it is generally possible and common) so then you can better omit CAN and use CM1241 with Modbus RTU to take data from Wipotec. Pls look carefuly and ask seller (expected) of your Wipotec device.

As suggested by Duris.I earlier, please validate which version of CAN your modules support.

If that protocol is CanOpen, then Siemens (in collaboration with HMS networks)  have a solution, dedicated communiction modules for the S7-300 and the S7-1200 CPUs.
