The ID comes from PLC Tags -> System Constants.

Use Drag-n-Drop from the "tag" in the far left (to the left of the constant's name).  Drag that where you need an ID.

Using the # - which can change from project to project - is a maintenance problem.  Plus, there are times when tia portal changes those system constants during hardware reconfiguration and sometimes that process catches us off guard, not paying attention because it is hidden from us.

Hi hope you're doing well. i want to get s7 1200 plc built in and external hardware card ( like DI, DO, AI and communication module) diagnostic information from remote Scada using "RDREC" Instruction in ladder logic. i don't know configured correctly. i need a help to choose correct ID and INTEX number because i did not read any information. (i feed this in ID=264, INDEX=1)
