6SN1118-0AA11-0AA1 is a SIMODRIVE 611A control card, the motor working with it should be1FT5 series, but you said you try the motor 1FT6062-6AF71-3DA0 , which is for 611D, 

please provide more information

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find the right encoder cable that goes with the “6SN1118-0AA11-0AA1” control board connecting to X311, I tried the cable “6FX8002-2CA11-1AG0” with motor 1FT6062-6AF71-3DA0, and still getting fault “2”  Rotor position encoder monitoring, any suggestion, thanks

I really made effort to look for the cable MLFB (parts number),but I did not find, Siemens discontinued this kind of products for many years. here I attached that cable pinout, as your reference 

you can let you local electrical shop to make a new one for you

Hello, I have the same problem. Although I'm using a 1FT5 series motor, I'm still getting 2. I think the problem is with the encoder cable; I may still be using the wrong one. Any specific part number for the cable I can purchase?
