Reading Siwarex U Gross Data

Erdem Sivri Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hello I have to read the gross data from Siwarex U. I actually had done it before and also have written a FB for this application which calls SFC59 RD_REC but this time we are using 315-2AG10 CPU which doesnt let me download SFC59 so how can I get gross data from Siwarex? Should I try to read PIW? If so which bytes of PIW data will give me gross? Thanks a lot.

Imho the mentioned CPU (315-2DP) should havethe SFC59in its operating system or you can upgrade the FW to the latest version (now it's v.2.6 ->download here). If you don't want to use the preparedFB "SIWA_U"you can read the periphery as you already mentioned.The integer gross weight you can read on word2 (chn 1) and word10 (chn 2) - for detailed information look to the manual here (chapter 8.8). Erdem Sivri Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the quick reply The operating system of the CPU we use 315-2AG10 doesnt have SFC59. I checked online with 2 differnet CPUs but no chance :( And when the SFC is avaible within that CPU you can see the download button on SIMATIC is active if not then SIMATIC disables that button. Also as far as I konw FW3.0 is on market lately so the latest version of S7 CPUs are now 3.0 They are said to be 2 times faster and 2 times memory but never given a try upto now. I never used SIWA_U FB. I will give it a try may be it doesnt call SFC59 on the backplane. Is it with the SIWA_U packet which includes SIWATOOL and hardware updte for Siwarex U? At least thanks to you if no other chance I can read the gross data from PIW word2 and word 10. Have a good day.

If I remember it well,standard FBs for Siwarex use the SFB52 "RDREC" and SFB53 "WRREC" inside as STAT variable. If you have the Configuration Package Siwarex U (7MH4950-1AK01) there should be also a getting started application for Step 7with the standard blocks. It allows you to modify parameters, read many values, alarms and so on. But if you need just the weight information,the easiest wayis to read the periphery. Regards Sydney

Into the configuration package of the Siwarex U module, you can find the software SIWATOOL, but it is not possible to update the firmware of the Siwarex U module. Best regards Siwarexi
