communication between cpu 315-2DP and IM151-7 CPU

cmet Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	hi guys, can I use a CPU 315-2DP to recieve or take data from a datablock of a IM151-7CPU via Profibus? how can I config the hardware for them and what function block can I use to send and recieve data? Do I need another device between them ?(because 2PLCs run as Master DP) Thanks alot

Wizard Diamond Expert Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 8768 Rating: (1170)	Hello cmet, Yes it's possible, the CPU315-2DP will be the master and the IM151-7CPU will be slave. You can define an area of communications. In tab Configurations. Only when you use the Profibus Master module, the IM151-7 CPU will be master on profibus. In that case you can use a DP/DP coupler. When you want the data to be consistent, you have to use SFC14 and SFC15 to communicate in master. Hope this will help. Best regards, Wizard

cmet Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Thanks Wizard for your replybut I'm still confused about how to set the hardware config for the et200s. I used to set the mpi/dp of et200s to mpi , so I can download the config, program from computer to it ( via usb->mpi adapter). ifIset it todp ( slave ), I couldnt download the program and hardware config to it anymore. How can I solve this problem ?
