after a compare on and offline + upload from CPU the blocks still can't be monitored

koenb Silver Member Joined: 6/26/2009 Last visit: 11/27/2024 Posts: 122 Rating: (23)	Hi people, Is there anyone who had the situation that ever after a compare on and offline + upload from CPU the blocks still can't be monitored. more specific , after the upload all items have a green ball. then as soon as you open a block the ball changes green to blue/orange and monitoring is impossible to clear the situation you have to write the program to the cpu again. Someone who knows a trick to avoid this ? Thanks in advance Splitted from Sending changes to S7-1200.

When you open the block, the system thinks that the opened block is changed, and ask for a new download". Work arround: uplaod, download after that you can monitore it...

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 12/20/2024 Posts: 15527 Rating: (2461)	I believe if you the block open and fully expanded, then compile all, download all, when you go online, you can monitor the module you expanded while offline. What I do is to go online, compile project, download all, and go back online. After that, I've had no problems going offline and back online again and expand blocks (FB/FC/OB) to see the contents and monitor it in run mode. The key seems to be online when you download as it makes things work better - at least for me.

Uploading and thereafter write the program back to the cpu by doing a download. No problem in the office as long as tyou can stop-start as many time's as you like. Importance is much higher on a productionsite where the client doesn't want to have a PLC-stop. V11 must help us...
