S7-400H+CP443-1 with Kepware

Normal a CP443-1 which CPU is in STOP can still communicate, for example to load a program or checking the status.

To communicate with the S7-41x(F)H you need a CP 1613 A2 in your PC and a software package called RedConnect. Then make a redundant connection to the CP1613 (integrated in Firmware) or you may place a second CP1613 where the H-System is automatically also connect with if the communication is loaded.

Then this driver deliveres you a redundant connection and a OPC Server where you can directly connect your client to...

I read user post on "Put a MP370 on a H-System with Ethernet" with a lot of interest. Can something similar be tried on this.

Because I use with the MP370WinCC Flexible to switch to another internal link, I think it is not that easy to switch with Kepware. Thisis solved in WinCC Flexible with switching the connections over an TAG. So one of the CPUs have the connection.

With REDCONNECT you have always contact with both CPUs, there is a redundant connection between the CPs and the CP1613.

Normally I recommend REDCONNECT, so that customers have something where I could say that it works for 100%. I never tried, but have heared from other people that it is easy to make a connection to a H-System wenn everything is ok, but when there are some errors in the communication then it is not that easy to couple to the right CPU.

With REDCONNECT you have a 100% balanced product whats testedfor several years (2000...2006) in a lot of goodworking systems, it also have a OPC-Server, so I don't understand the problem. A customer that have a H-System don't want not-tested configurations in his system, therefor he want to pay something more if that is giving him a garanty that it works.
