Only master on bus : No MPI network (187.5k), TP177 is only device on network and connected to the MPI port of the CPU. Both resistors are set to "On" |

[quote user="kevo"]We have a CPU414H and a TP177A that is connected to one of the H CPU's. When we switch of the CPU that has the connection with the OP, the MPI connection is not automatically restored when the CPU is restarted. The MPI connection will restore once we restart the TP177. Hi Kenny, Have you seen my little experiment with the MP 370 on a H-System, this will work on MPI with a smaller display like the TP177A also... [:P] Put a MP370 on a H-System with Ethernet Normally the TP 177A have to go online when the H-CPU is there again, that will only work then on one of the two cpu's. When the panel is built up integrated then this panel will be pointing to one CPU, say CPU(0), when then CPU(1) is connected, it won't work! [] With my solution you give the MPI addresses of the H-CPU for instance the addresses 2 {CPU(0)}and 3 {CPU(1)} and both are there, the switch can be switching on the internal bit of which CPU is the Master (the other is then the reserve). See reading out the operating state and status of an H system to get the status of the Master and if this CPU is in RUN. Although this FB is written for CFC, it will work also in a normal program. I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
