Modbus TCP and S7-300 problem

Zhel Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a problem with the Modbus TCP Wizard. The problem is that when I insert a PG/PC station into my configuration (to use it like a ES) the modbus wizard drops me a error that states that an Exception Occurred (see picture attached). When I remove the PG/PC station form my project the wizard goes through without problem. I am working with Step 7 v5.5 I would like to know how to fix this error. Thx. Wüstenräuber Gold Expert Joined: 10/3/2008 Last visit: 10/22/2025 Posts: 996 Rating: (129)	A workaround: Open the comand line (cmd) insert "[path to wizard]" -p "[path to project]" -c "[path to block order in the project]" for example: "c:\Program Files\Siemens\Modbus TCP Wizard\ModbusTCPWizard.exe" -p "c:\Testproj\Test_CPU\Test_CPU.s7p" -c "Test_CPU_3xx\SIMATIC 300(1)\CPU 315-2 PN/DP\S7-Programm(1)\Bausteine" Then the wizard is opened without a problem.
