Included in this package are the drivers required to comunicate directly with the PLC CPU of the 840D, Although, from the nature of your enquiry, you are new to Sinumerik controls, in which case, extra hardware may well be required in the form of an MPI interface. USB versions are available. I would suggest you contact your local Siemens sales support for further assistance. Best regards SteveJ
