PCS7 6.1 Project Duplication Error

Albert75 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I'm trying to duplicate a project I have developed by PCS7 6.1 so that I make a redundant server, but every time I try to duplicate the project, in the end of the duplication process, the copied project in the server 2 deletes suddenly! How can I manage this problem? Please help

There is enough disk space in the target computer (a fewGiga Bytes) There is no error message at the end of duplication process but the message that says "the duplication process completed successfully" doesn't apper as well.

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (172)	Hi during using project duplicator your WinCC project must be closed...perhaps in your case there are still some openend files: In rare cases it might happen that when closing a WinCC project not all the the files are closed and detached. It is then not possible to access the data of the WinCC project or delete the project using the Microsoft Windows Explorer or archive the project using an archiving tool like Pkzip, for example. Remedy: Run the "Reset_WinCC".vbs" file by double-clicking it in the folder "...\Siemens\WinCC\Bin". Now you can execute the operation required. Note: If there is a space in the name of the WinCC installation directory, the databases are not detached when you terminate WinCC with "Reset_WinCC".vbs". This is the case, for example, with installations in English Windows 2000 / XP if WinCC is installed in the ...\Program Files\... folder. The "Reset_WinCC".vbs" file must only be used in exceptional cases and never used for fast termination of WinCC. nemo
