TIA portal crashes

mitasha Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	When i start TIA portal and opens a project it opens fine. but when i try to go online to the plc or go to accesible devices screen, the software crashes and tells me to restart or close. When i restrat same thing happens. the software was working just fine at first. What could be the problem?

When i restrat same thing happens. the software was working just fine at first. What could be the problem? Those crash reports should be sent to Siemens support. We can not see or analize source code. Its software's problem, so please create Support Request and guys from Siemens will ask you to send some diagnostic folders and so on so they can look into it more deeply than here. Forum is unable to make patches to the Siemens software.

As to your question about what is the problem, if you submit a support request, they will likely suggest update 3 be installed and see if the problem goes away. There are several things that could cause the problem. When V11 SP2, there were a lot of similar problems reported in the forums and update 1 quickly came out, with update 2 fairly soon after update 2. These problems simply went away for nearly everyone after the updates were installed. Please advise if you really want to dig deeper.

Is it too difficult for you to open support request as I said in the first post ? All of us do that, because if sofware crashes it means that it's not your or forum fault. Just make a support request. Those guys knows what to do. Believe me.
