Count milliseconds between two pulses

bjornidar Regular Member Joined: 1/24/2011 Last visit: 12/16/2025 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm using inductive sensors on conveyors to both give alarm when no rotation and to calculate the speed of the conveyor. With a gived radius it should be simple with the formula 2pir*number of pulses per second. But this doesn't give me a reliable answer, so I thought I might calculate it by meassuring the time between each pulse. I've been trying with some counter and clock-pulses but with a 100ms clock pulse it won't be accurate. Is it in any way possible to use the system clock to count < 100ms? For example the system time - which is given in hh(0-23):mm(0-59):ss(0-59):ms(0-1000).
