Hello Prob1 I'm afraid to say that you are out of luck. Siemens has made a deliberate decision to only support newer S7 hardware with TIA Portal Step 7. If memory serves me right you can only use S7 hardware that wascurrent as of 2007 and a 318 is definetely not supported by TIA Portal Step 7 (it entered product discontinuation phase in 2006). You'll find a detailed list of supported hardware in the FAQ Which devices and modules are supported by STEP 7 Professional and WinCC Professional in the TIA Portal? Alternatively, use the TIA Portal Readiness Check Tool to find out if your "old" S7 hardware is supported. If you must use CPU's that are not supported by TIA Portal Step 7, you will as such have to use the "classic" Step 7 for them. I hope this helps |
