SOMA Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi, we are using mm440 for pump application we faced over current fault.Actually motor pulling less current but in key pad showing high.Due to this drive tripping.What is the actual problem.

GJohn Posts: 112 Rating: (10)	The keypad display should be correct. If you are trying to measure the output current using another instrument you need a True RMS ammeter. You need to check if the load is too big for the drive.

I checked motor condition andi discussed with pump supplier also everythings ok As per motor name plate detail motor full load iscurrent is 54A.But it is pulling 70A in 50hz.

JensS Posts: 739 Rating: (55)	Hallo John, your problem can be electrically as well as mechanically. Mechanical it can be a bearing of the motor or pump. Electrall it can be a defect in the motor, in the cable or in the drive. But it is also possible that it might come from the medium witch you have to pump (or a change in the pipe system). Floyd Posts: 130 Rating: (1)	Soma: We had the following occur: Sympton: A051 - Current Limit Alarm No pump rotation, but not faulted either All Motor Paremters check out OK Sometimes Pump will run Normally Solution: enable Flying Start (P1200 to 1) Background (our senario): You may have a enough flow through the pump to rotate the pump. We typically do not energize the VFD untill after initial natural flow occurs. At this time, the pump may be already rotating, if the it is rotating fast enough it will become a generator. The VFD will pick up this Re-Generated voltage and respond according to P1200. By default P1200 is set to DISABLE, meaning it will sit at 0 speed (in the case i just experienced at current limit, 76A). By setting P1200 to 1, the VFD will attempt to restore the Pump rotation to a known speed and then start active control. This become difficult to troubleshoot, since the trigger can be intermittent based on water flows and pump rotation during pre-flush. Are you seeing a similar senario? This one took a long time to troubleshoot and we have only seen this 1 time, after shipping near 50 MM420/30's
