Hello, everybody.

We just bought our first DMG Mori machine. It is ecoMill 60V with Sinumerik 840D control.

Machine has a counter on the front door, one for "remaining time" and a part counter.

Since we are a mould making company, and our parts are almost all different we don't really have any use of the part counter.

However, "remaining time" option is quite useful, if I could make it work like I want to, and how I suppose it should.

As it's title is "remaining time" I would like to have it countdown the remaining time of the NC program.

I've tried googling this and came up with some ideas, but none seem to work. I've put this line in the code $AC_CYCLE_TIME=150, thinking it should countdown from 150 seconds, but nothing happened.

Can someone please help me out with this, if it is even possible to do?

Of course I've read the manual. It is pretty much useless in this matter.

 Not by Siemens, OEM- Original equipment manufacturer or machine builder- who has developed Logic of your machine.

Or else study PLC logic. 

 there is DMG m/c forum, go to check and post your question there . unless the person who program PLC , for others will be so hard to help you with this issue by remote help.
