Unable to connecter to IOT after a reboot

Hello,

I followed manuals to set up and configure the IOT and installed the Red-Node.

I am able to access Red-Node via my web browser.

When I reboot the IOT, I am not able to access it via its IP address.

Must have forgot a command somewhere...

I ordered a TTL/USB cable online, but will receive it at the end of March. So it is not a solution for the moment.

Any ideas on which command I forgot?

Is there any software like "Primary setup tool" to scan accessible IOT on the Network?

I tried PST, but it tells me there is no accessible device...

How do you try to connect to the IOT?

Do you use PuTTY or are you trying to view the node red web view?

If you can't see the web view of node red, it might be because node red hasn't started yet. Either you're too impatient or you forgot to start node red in the first place.

To auto-start node red, see here. Especially the fourth post is particularly helpful.

I try to ping it first, but not able after reboot.

I configured everything, installed Node-RED and was able to access it with my web browser.

Then, after everything is good, I try to reboot to see if everything hold and I am not able to ping it anymore...

Yes, I was able to access it via PuTTY, but after reboot, nothing, no ping.

I was also able to access it with Node-RED web page.

I will try to configure everything again and use the commad to auto-start the Node-RED.

How long did you wait after rebooting the device?

I sent a repetitive ping command from the engineering system and rebootet the IOT over putty. As expected, connection timed out. But after (roundabout) 60 seconds I recieved a response to the ping again.

I booted the IOT this morning and were able to ping it. 

I rebooted it 4 times and I am able to access it everytime, strange but fantastic! 

I noticed Node-RED was not starting automatically after a reboot.

So I followed your link and saw this post:

Hello Ben1902,

if you want to run node-red in the autostart of the example image V2.1.2 you just need to do the following (very simple) steps after you have set up a connection and login into your IOT2000:

1. type in iot2000setup and click enter. a setup dialog will be shown now where you can do a lot of useful quick settings of your IOT2000
2. Navigate to Advanced Options
3. select the option "Auto Start node-red"
4. Cancel the Setup dialog and reboot your IOT2000.

 I tried to ping the IOT during 15 minutes yesterday after the first reboot.

It is now connecting after every reboot, the IOT need 8 hours sleeping night .
