How can i communicate with engine by J1939

christer007 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi there, we met a problem with J1939 protocal and S7 300 PLC, J1939 is a protocal based on CAN bus, but application layer is different from CANopen. Now we found two ways to do it, one is using CAN300 module from 3rd-party, which we have to madehuge codes to program in it; the other way is using convertor to transform J1939 to Ethernet, and using ISO ethernet protocal to connect to S7. Which way is better, for ISO ethernet, how can I do it in S7? Thanks.

I searched your website and found Siemens support ISO-transportant ans ISO on TCP. Is there any modulefrom Siemens which can deal with Ethernet/IP or Modbus/TCP protocal?
